Minneapolis’ Original & Best Loved Burlesque & Cabaret troupe, perform a variety of songs, skits, and dance numbers based on old time burlesque and vaudeville.
Le Cirque Rouge was founded in August 2003, by Amy Buchanan, who serves as MC, producer and director.  Through ups & downs, LCR has put on a weekly show since it’s opening night; Featuring classic striptease, world-class singers, musicians, actors, comedians, and whatever else they can drag onto the stage.

Le Cirque Rouge has entertained audiences from all over the world as an “A-List”, “Best Bet” and “Hot Pick, in all of Mpls/St Paul's best venue's. Their shows have garnered both critical and fan praise, as well as hatred and ridicule from the press. Holiday's seem to be the best time of year for targeting those people for their own comedic purposes; Christmas 2007 was particularly successful for LCR, with their "Benefit for Kids With Fucked up Parents". This led to sold-out crowds at The 331 Club, in Northeast Minneapolis, as well as hate mail, and the love of everyone whose mother ever smoked a cigarette in the car with the windows up.
In addition to their work with children, Le Cirque Rouge has tackled, with surprising hilarity, their very original "NUTCRACKER SUITE”, as part of their Annual Christmas show, held 4 years and running @ First Avenue.
