"The ladies of Le Cirque Rouge, have some of the greatest old-school jazzy voices in town".
~ Twin Cities Metro Magazine
"The evening also delivers marvelous singing from the wisecracking Buchanan (her take on "Is That All There Is?" has perfect comic timing) as well as Buster Poindexter-like howler Eight Ball Jones. The killer live music ensemble of Eric Edwalds, John Etzell, Tom Lyseng and Robert Russell fuels the rowdy energy".
~ Minneapolis Star Tribune
Le Cirque Rouge Cabaret & Burlesque Show
was founded in August 2003, and is responsible for bringing Cabaret & Burlesque Theater back to Minneapolis for the first time in 50 years! Since its opening night, LCR has consistently put on a show that has inspired audiences to proclaim it the best Cabaret & Burlesque show they have ever seen!
LCR first and foremost features comedians, and is the closest thing to an old time variety show you're likely to see. The show is a fantastic collection of some of the best singers in town and dancers who are card carrying triple threats - all backed by an outstanding band!
Every show guarantees a good time and is a true Minneapolis original.

**** Le Cirque Rouge given 4 stars by Spin Magazine****
Le Cirque Rouge has entertained audiences from all over the world as an “A-List”, “Best Bet” and “Hot Pick, in all of Mpls/St Paul's best venue's. Their shows have garnered both critical and fan praise internationally, as well as occasional ridicule from the local press. Holiday's seem to be the best time of year for stirring things up. Christmas 2007 was particularly successful for LCR, with their "Benefit for Kids With Fucked up Parents" @ First Avenue. This led to sold-out crowds at The 331 Club in NE Minneapolis, as well as hate mail, and the love of everyone whose mother ever smoked a cigarette in the car with the windows rolled up.
In addition to their work with children, Le Cirque Rouge has tackled, with surprising hilarity, their very original burlesque "NUTCRACKER SUITE”, as part of their Annual Christmas show, held 10 years and running.
